Thorold, ON – In accordance with Ontario Public Health guidelines and the Ontario Hockey Federation hockey is finally on its way back to the city of Thorold.
For the first time since December 20th, the hawks will return to Frank Doherty Arena and ring in the new year with a clash with the St. Catharines Falcons.
Public health regulations will still be in place including the use of face masks at all times, vaccine checks as well as limited seating inside the arena.

The visiting Falcons come into the nest winning 7 of their last 8 games with wins over Fort Erie, division-leading Hamilton, and most recently an impressive 8-2 over the Welland Jr Canadians.
Monday also marks the return of former Blackhawks Captain, Nick Rubino. Rubino has played 6 games for the Falcons since being traded to the Falcons in early December and has recorded 6 goals and 7 assists and is coming off a 3 goal, 5-point night in Welland in early January. We look forward to welcoming Nick back home Monday night.
The Blackhawks are looking to leave the first half of the season in 2021 as they come into the new year with 7 wins. The Hawks look to start the year off right with the newly revamped roster including new additions Tucker Adams, Ivan Osminin, Ashton Murdoch, Aidan Cupelli, and Wyatt Gibson. While looking to veterans like Noah Fortuna, Nathaniel Krbavac, and Cooper Lobsinger to provide the leadership entering the new year.
