Volunteers Needed

As the season inches closer to a start date, the Thorold Blackhawks are looking to the community for some hockey-loving people to help out around the arena. The Blackhawks are looking for people to help in all areas of game-day operations. Now is your chance to join the most exciting club in junior hockey and make an impact in your community.

 

The Thorold Junior B Blackhawks Hockey Club has brought Junior Hockey to the city of Thorold for over 35 years bringing in a wealth of hockey talent ages 16-20 from across the Niagara region and Ontario. The Blackhawks currently play in the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League (GOJHL) in the Golden Horseshoe conference. This season has the Thorold Blackhawks moving to Port Colborne to play out of the Vale Heath and Wellness Center.

With a wealth of history, the Blackhawks began by sporting the Red, Black, and White and dawned the new Blackhawks name and logo after their jump to Golden Horseshoe League (GHL) in 1982. Since then the Blackhawks have captured the Sutherland Cup and the title of Best Junior B team in Ontario once in 2005.

Thorold continues to breed Notable alumni including Past NHLers like Nathan Horton, Dwayne Roloson, Zenon Konopka, Owen Nolan, and John Scott as well as current Seattle Kraken Defenseman Vince Dunn and Arizona Coyotes Defenseman Connor Timmins.

The Blackhawks organization strives to produce and develop the best young hockey players with the one goal of capturing the Sutherland Cup while also giving these players the skills they need to leave the nest and succeed in their next chapter.
